Sometimes, the most magical moments happen when you least expect them. That was certainly the case for Emma and Lowri's wedding!
I received a message from them just a week beforeand honestly, my first thought was they were planning for next year. It was only when one of them said,
"I wasn't sure if you'd help us at such short notice," that I realised their special day was just around the corner. Of course, I was happy to be their wedding photographer!
The ceremony took place at the Merthyr Tydfil Registry Offic in South Wales, a lovely space that was beautifully decorated with flowers, a vibrant contrast
to the chilly February air outside. We were lucky with the weather – it was a bright, sunny day, so we headed to
Cyfarthfa Castle afterwards to grab some photos with their two lovely dogs.
In a funny twist, they only had one lead, so I happily contributed my coat belt to help manage the
furry members of the wedding party (keep an eye out for it in some of the photos!).
After that, it was off to the Three Salmons in Usk to meet their guests, who were already there and ready to celebrate.
The meal was followed by the cutting of an amazing cake, baked by Lowri's Mum, with a fun combination of sunflowers on
the front and a Mario theme hidden around the back..
The evening culminated in a first dance, which quickly transitioned into a full-blown party. The dance floor was alive with
energy as everyone celebrated Emma and Lowri's love with enthusiasm and some impressive dance moves.
It was a really lovely day – a testament to how a well-planned wedding can come together beautifully, even with a last-minute addition
to the team. It was a pleasure to capture Emma and Lowri's celebration.
